
Janney Simpson
For over 40 years Janney Simpson has been weaving. She has taught floor loom weaving at Wesleyan Potters in Connecticut and at her barn in Gaylord, Michigan as well as at conferences and guilds.
She especially loves to teach Deflected Doubleweave. She is a past President, Apprentice, and Lifetime Member of the Handweavers Guild of CT. She also served as VP/Program Chair of Michigan League of Handweavers. Articles and videos can be found in Long Thread Media and Complex Weavers publications. Privileged to be a student of many outstanding weaving and fiber art teachers, Janney strives to create one-of-a-kind pieces using a variety of yarns and weave structures on many types of looms.
