Thank you one and all for your support of this outreach effort. Sandy Carr, Audrey Smith, Joan Furci, and Judy Saitta did a great job with the table at Conference. We owe a lot of thanks to them for making it such a success this year.
On the other hand an even bigger “thank you” goes out to you in the membership, who support this outreach effort with your enthusiastic purchases from year to year. We hope that you continue to enjoy and appreciate the craftsmanship and beauty produced by indigenous peoples around the world and at home. It is our pleasure to act as a bridge between their cultures and ours.
Until next time, have a wonderful summer...

If you are a weaver, basket maker or fiber artist who has the opportunity to work with young people, I encourage you to offer the children with whom you work the opportunity for recognition at our FTW Conference in March.
As you work with children let them know you would like to borrow some of their completed projects for display at our conference. Each youth who has an entry displayed will receive a ribbon or certificate of recognition.
This will honor your commitment to our future fiber artists as well as the work of the young artist. We would also like to recognize a classroom teacher who has created an environment that fosters the fiber arts. Let us know what you discover as you work in our schools. You can contact me at jfurci@gmail.com or 321-383-3037.
P.S. At the FTW Conference in 2008, it was suggested work of challenged adults also be displayed and recognized. If you would like to organize this activity, please let our president or me know for presentation to our board of directors.
A quick reminder of all districts and what their jobs are for the upcoming conference.
Each district rep should be contacting people to be in charge of each of the above categories (not necessarily themselves). But the most important thing is to make sure that everyone follows up with their specific job. Also be prepared to have a budget for the September meeting so that we may set the cost of the conference.
If you have any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, etc., please contact
Candy Barbag at candybarbag@gmail.com or Ann Revels at weaverwelly@aol.com.
We would love to hear from you.
