Back in Tallahassee, Ramona Abernathy-Paine received Honorable Mention in the FSU Artists League Summer Annual show for her woven honeycomb piece titled Fad-ing Away, Homage to the Honeybee. Looking forward, we're negotiating with Archie Brennan and Susan Martin-Maffie to Tallahassee for a workshop in 2009.
What a fantastic conference. Weavers of Char-Lee had a great showing with 7 of our members who taught, volun-teered and entered exhibits. I saw many, many attendees wearing our seashell woven pins. Lots of hard work paid off.

Accolades to our own Eva Walsh. Her 'beautiful beaded garment' was elegantly
paraded in the Dance of the Flamingos Fashion Show at CONVERGENCE. The colorful
beading was exquisite.
CONGRATULATIONS, Eva!
Recently, a dozen or more of us went to Convergence, where we saw the pins we'd contributed to the goodie bags proudly worn by many. Mary Jane Lord had a small tapestry piece included in the "Woven Gems" show.
